FAQs

Have a question you’d like to ask? I’m committed to giving patients the best care and experience I can. There’s no such thing as a bad question when it comes to mental health. Check out the answers to the FAQs below, and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any additional questions.

How long does therapy take?

Each session is about 45 to 55 minutes. If you wish, you can schedule for a shorter or longer session. I am more than willing to work with you and your scheduling needs. I offer flexibility. The number of sessions depends on each individual client's needs. Some clients find that just a few sessions can be helpful; others find that weekly appointments for several months fit best with their mental health needs. We can determine together what might be best for you.

What kind of therapy techniques do you use?

I first and foremost believe in a common factors research, which states positive outcomes of therapy are associated with strong therapeutic rapport between therapist and client. Thus, I make sure the relationship between clients and myself is an effective, positive, and trusting one. Other therapies I tend to use involve narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. However, treatment and techniques are always tailored to each client's needs.
